Hurricane Preparedness Fair

The City of Brownsville Fire Department Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security will be co-hosting its Annual All Hazards Awareness Fair alongside, Cameron County Judge’s Office Division of Emergency Management and Fire Marshal Service, as well as AARP Brownsville. This year’s event will be held at the Brownsville Sports Park (1000 Sports Park Blvd in Brownsville) on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This event serves as an ongoing attempt to help our businesses and residents better prepare themselves and their families for the threat of any hazard in our city. The Brownsville Office of Emergency Management strongly stands by the belief that preparedness is the key to the community’s ability to quickly recover from any natural or man-made hazard.

This year, the All Hazards Awareness Fair will be held outdoors and include presentations by several entities that will occur inside the canopy areas of each presenter simultaneously in their respective canopy shaded areas.  This will provide more 1 on 1 conversations with the general public as they tour various vendor tables from the community that handle emergency preparedness.
