Water Talk Speaker Series
The Brownsville Historical Association is proud to present Water/Ways, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum on Main Street Program, which will be on display from September 21 – November 6, 2021 at the Historic Alonso Building.
The BHA developed public programs to deepen people’s understanding of what water means, such as the Water Talk Speaker Series. The series serves as a way to educate and engage students, faculty and parents about the importance of water in our region. The speakers scheduled to talk have a diverse background that will help explore the water’s effect on landscape, settlement, access to water and control of water resources.
All Water Talk events will be free and open to the public and will be hosted at the Historic Alonso Building located at 510 East Saint Charles Street, Brownsville, Texas.
