From February 18th to February 25th, 2023, enjoy the annual and binational fiesta that celebrates the Mexican heritage on both sides of the Rio Grande Valley!
Charro Days is a celebration between two border cities, Brownsville, Texas, and Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Every year, we receive more than 50,000 attendees.
This fiesta, includes daily parades, food, music, contests, and the Sombrero Festival!
Mr. Amigo is a title given to a Mexican citizen who had contributed to the friendship of the United States and Mexico. The Mr. Amigo honoree has been recognized during the Charro Days Fiesta since 1969, and continues to be an integral part of this celebration!
In 2022, the award-winning actress and singer Bianca Marroquín received the title of Mr. Amigo 2022.
When we say this is the most fun time of the year, we mean it!
In addition to our parade, delicious food, and contests, our Charro Days also include the Sombrero Festival!
Since 1986, Sombrero Festival has enhance the spirit of Charro Days through family-friendly events. From Tortilla Frisbee Toss to Live Music events with classic rock, country, and cover bands!
